The number of patients being treated for corona virus infection in India decreased to 3.63 lakh (3,63,749) on Friday. This is the lowest number after 146 days which is only 3.71 percent of the total confirmed cases. The Health Ministry said that on July 18, the number of patients undergoing treatment for infection was 3,58,692. The ministry said that the trend of declining the number of patients being treated for infection in the country is continuing. The number of infected people currently being treated for infection in India is only 3.71 percent of the total infected cases. He told that 37,528 patients have become infection free during the last 24 hours.

The ministry said that the number of patients being treated for infection in India has come down to 3.63 lakh (3,63,749) today. This is the lowest number after 146 days. On July 18, the number of patients being treated for infection was 3,58,692. He said that in the last 24 hours the number of new cases stood at 29,398 and the infection was defeated by more patients than new cases. The number of people getting infection-free has now risen to about 93 lakh (92,90,834).

The ministry said that the rate of infection-free has increased to 94.84 percent today. The ministry said that 79.90 percent of the new patients getting infection-free are from ten states / UTs, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. In Karnataka, 5076 more patients have succumbed to the infection, while in Maharashtra, the number of new patients who have become infection free is 5068 and in Kerala 4847.

According to the data of the Ministry, Maharashtra has the highest number of patients getting infection-free daily in the past one week, where on an average 6703 patients outperformed the infection daily. After this, 5173 and 4362 patients in Kerala and Delhi respectively recovered from the infection. Of the new cases, 72.39 per cent are from ten states / union territories, including Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Haryana.

According to the ministry, Kerala has the highest number of 4,470 daily new cases. After this, 3,824 new cases were reported in Maharashtra. The ministry said that 414 patients have died in the last 24 hours. Of this, 79.95 percent deaths occurred in ten states / union territories, including Maharashtra, Delhi, West Bengal, Punjab, Kerala, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths (70), Delhi and West Bengal have recorded 61 and 49 deaths respectively. The total cases of corona virus infection in India have reached 97,96,796 while the death toll has gone up to 1,42,186.
