A new type of malaria-related disease has now emerged in Kerala affected by the corona virus. A soldier returned from Sudan is being treated here in Kannur. This new disease is found in the soldier’s body during treatment. State Health Minister KK Shailaja himself has informed about this on Thursday.

He said that a new species of malaria in Plasmodium oval has been found in Kerala. It was found in the body of a soldier while undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Kannur. This young man had returned from the North African country of Sudan shortly before. He said that timely treatment can prevent the disease from growing.

Let me tell you that before this, a mysterious disease was also reported recently in Iluru of Andhra Pradesh state in the southern region of the country. However, after investigation, the contaminated water was said to be the cause of the disease. So far two people have died of the disease, while more than 600 people have been ill.

According to the latest information, 13 new cases of mysterious disease have been reported in Andhra Pradesh since midnight on Wednesday, which are indicative of a decrease in the disease, but on Thursday the total cases reached 609. Deputy Chief Minister (Health) AKK Srinivas met the patients at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Vijayawada. He then said that 32 people are undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital in Iluru and 21 in Vijayawada.

So far, 553 patients have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals. Although two patients of Vijayawada’s GGH died, but the cause of the mysterious illness has been ruled out. The Deputy Chief Minister said that one female patient had Kovid-19 infection, while the other male patient died of a heart attack. He said that we have found that some patients brought to Vijayawada from Iluru have other diseases. They are being treated appropriately.
