Pakistan, always in dispute, is now stuck in another crisis. America’s top diplomat for international religious freedom Samuel Brownback has claimed that Pakistan is promoting Hindu and Christian women in China as ‘concubines’ and ‘forced brides’ and forcibly marrying.

Brownback said on Tuesday about such reports that religious minorities, Christian and Hindu women, are a source of ‘forced brides’ for China’s men. There, they are being promoted as concubines and forcibly married in China. This is happening mainly from Pakistan.

He said that this is because there is no effective support and there is discrimination against religious minorities, which worsens their situation. He said that this is another reason that Pakistan should be declared a country of special concern (CPC) under the International Religious Freedom Act.

In December last year, a news agency released a list of 629 Pakistani women and women, who were sold to Chinese men as brides. These women were forcibly taken to China between 2018 and early 2019. This list was prepared by the investigators of Pakistan.
