Former Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has been admitted to the private hospital ICU ward in Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon. He was having severe respiratory problems. Doctors have stated that his condition is critical and he is placed on ventilator support. The doctors are monitoring his oxygen level. According to the information received, his Kovid test has also been conducted, but the report came negative, which is a good thing.

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankad have wished him a quick recovery after former state Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya was hospitalized.
According to the news agency PTI, the doctor saw the CPI leader at the flu clinic. The official of the private hospital said that we are treating them. All tests are being done in our flu clinics. After its report, it will be decided whether they will be kept in the hospital or not.

Buddhadeb Bhattacharya was the Chief Minister of Bengal from 2000 to 2001. He has been suffering from respiratory problems and many other diseases for a long time. He was removed from CPM’s Politburo, Center Committee and State Secretariat due to illness. Last year too, he was admitted to the hospital due to low blood pressure.
