Sensex gained 929.83 points last week
Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 929.83 points or 2.10 per cent. The Nifty rose 289.60 points or 2.23 percent. It is known that the index has recovered the entire loss in the year 2020. It closed at 41,306.02 on January 1, 2020. However according to analysts, further market volatility will continue. Hence investors should be cautious.
State of heavy stock
Talking about the big stocks, shares of UltraTech Cement, GAIL, ONGC, UPL and NTPC opened sharply during the initial trading today. At the same time, shares of Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Titan, Grasim and Bajaj Auto opened on the red mark.
Sectoral index tracking
If we look at the sectoral index, today all the sectors except finance services, private banks and banks opened on the green mark. These include Realty IT, FMCG, Auto, Pharma, PSU Bank, Metal and Media.

During the pre-open at 9.02 am, the Sensex was at a level of 45585.54 after gaining 158.57 points, or 0.35 per cent. The Nifty was up 72.90 points, or 0.55 per cent, at the level of 13428.70.
New level of global market cap
For the first time, the global market cap has crossed 100 trillion dollars (100 trillion dollars or 7500 trillion rupees). China and America contribute the most in this. According to a Bloomberg report, the global market cap reached $ 100.5 trillion on December 5. American tech stocks called FAANGM (Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Google and Microsoft) contribute a lot to this market rally. The total capitalization of the US stock market was $ 41.6 trillion or $ 41.6 trillion (Rs 3108 trillion) after the market close on December 5.
During this time, the market cap of the Indian stock market had reached $ 2.4 trillion or $ 2.4 trillion, or Rs 180 lakh crore. It was ranked 10th in terms of size.
The market was open with a slight uptick on the previous trading day
The stock market opened with a slight gain on the previous trading day. The Sensex opened at 45115.85, up 36.30 points (0.08 per cent). At the same time, the Nifty started with a gain of 10.30 points (0.08 per cent) at 13268.80.

The stock market continued to run on Monday. The Sensex gained 0.77 per cent to close at 45426.97, up 347.42 points. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 13355.75 with a gain of 0.73 per cent (97.20 points).
