In early trade, the Sensex opened 254.48 points (0.56 per cent) at 45862.99 level. While, it started at 7467.60 with a gain of 74.60 points (0.56 per cent). Large stocks like Reliance Industries, TCS and Infosys strengthened the index. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) were net buyers in the capital market and as per provisional data on the stock market, they bought shares worth Rs 2,909.60 crore on a gross basis on Tuesday. Meanwhile, markets in Asia, such as Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo, were on the upswing.
Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 929.83 points or 2.10 per cent. The Nifty rose 289.60 points or 2.23 percent. The entire loss in the year 2020 has been recovered. It closed at 41,306.02 on January 1, 2020. However according to analysts, further market volatility will continue. Hence investors should be cautious.
The total market capitalization of listed companies has reached Rs 182.79 lakh crore. Reliance, TCS and Infosys shares are also trading up. It may be known that the Sensex had reached 40182 beyond 40 thousand on October 8 after reaching a low in March. The Sensex then closed at 41,340 on November 5. On November 10, the index rose to 43,227 in intraday. It crossed 44180 on 18 November and 45000 on 4 December.
State of heavy stock
Talking about the big stocks, the shares of GAIL, Infosys, ITC, NTPC and JSW Steel opened sharply during the initial trading today. UltraTech Cement, Hindustan Unilever, Axis Bank, Hero MotoCorp and SBI opened on the red mark.
Sectoral index tracking
If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors opened on the green mark today. These include finance services, private banks, banks, realty IT, FMCG, auto, pharma, PSU banks, metals and media.
This was the condition of the stock market during the pre open
During the pre-open at 9.02 am, the Sensex was up 89.37 points, or 0.20 per cent, to 45697.88. The Nifty was up 80.30 points, or 0.60 per cent, at 13473.30.
The market was open sharply on the last trading day
The stock market opened higher on the previous trading day. The Sensex opened at 45479.66, up 52.69 points (0.12 per cent). At the same time, the Nifty started with a gain of 18.70 points (0.14 per cent) at 13374.50.
Market closed on edge on Tuesday
The stock market closed on Tuesday. The Sensex was up 181.54 points at 45608.51, up 0.40 percent and the Nifty was up 0.28 percent (37.20 points) to close at 13392.95.
