The total number of infected people in the country has crossed 96 million. With the release of more than 91 lakh people out of these, the national rate of recovery of the infected has increased to 94.20 percent.

According to the data released by the Health Ministry at 8 am, the number of infected people has increased to 96,44,222 with 36,011 new cases of infection reported in the country. At the same time, after the death of 482 more people, the number of dead has increased to 1,40,182.
So far 91,00,792 people have become infection free in the country. The death rate in the country is 1.45 percent. According to the data, 4,03,248 patients are currently being treated in the country. For the past several days, the number of active cases has remained below five lakh. In the last 24 hours, 41,970 patients have returned to their homes after recovering from the hospital.
