Semi-finals for upcoming Telangana assembly election!
The BJP is also looking at this election as a semi-final from the assembly elections in Telangana. However, there is still a long time in the 2023 assembly elections. This municipal corporation consists of 4 districts including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy. There are 24 assembly seats and 5 Lok Sabha seats inside this municipal corporation.

Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has a total of 150 wards. The ruling TRS is contesting all 150 wards. BJP is contesting 149 wards, Congress on 146 wards, TDP on 106 wards, MIM 51, CPI on 17, CPM on 12 and other parties in 76 wards. Earlier, in the last election held in 2016, the ruling party won 99 seats of TRS and Owaisi’s AIMIM 44 seats, while BJP won only 5 seats. At the same time, Congress won only 2 wards.
