On Wednesday, farmer Bhagirath Kushwaha’s four-year-old son Dhanendra fell into a pit of 30 feet deep borewell in Budhora village of Kulpahar area in Mahoba district. Police and administrative officers reached the spot after getting information.
The exercise to save the child’s life continues. The team of doctors along with the fire brigade and JCB have reached there. The SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) team from Lucknow has also left for Budhaura.
Farmer Bhagirath Kushwaha, a resident of Budhaura village, has a farm half a kilometer away from his house. Bhagirath’s wife Kranti Devi had come to Mahoba with younger daughter Nitya (3) to get her Aadhaar card prepared in the morning. So Bhagirath Kushwaha went to work in the field with four-year-old son Dhanendra alias Babu and six-year-old daughter Rekha. Bhagirath told the police that he was irrigating the field. The two children were playing neem trees on the med made in the field. While playing around one o’clock in the afternoon, Dhanendra fell into the pit about 30 feet deep of the borewell which was open in the field.
According to Bhagirath, SDM Mohammad Uwais, Kulpahar police station in-charge Anoop Dubey reached there with Dalbal. The police tried to extricate the child with the help of villagers. When there was no success, JCB was called in with the fire brigade and team of doctors.
Police cordoned off the pit, removing the crowd gathered on the spot. After this, the work of digging around the pit was started from JBC. Meanwhile, the doctors worked to deliver the oxygen to the pit using a pipe to save the child’s life. Till the news is written, the work of saving the life of the child is going on.
Farmer Bhagirath Kushwaha had dug borewell pit in the month of July for irrigation in the field, but did not come out. After this the farmer did not close the pit. He was covered with a stone. Officers are still investigating whether the stone was removed from the top of the pit after the children had played or was already removed.
Mother reached the farm, the couple fainted
Mother Kranti Devi walked to her village from Mahoba as soon as the news of Dhanendra falling into the borewell pit. After about two hours, Kranti reached her field and sat near the weeping pit saying where is our baua.
Bhagirath could not stop himself after seeing the condition of his wife. He too wept in broad daylight. During this, both of them fainted crying. After splashing water on the mouths of the villagers and relatives, both of them sensed, then started crying. Relatives were busy in tying up both of them.
Even the sisters were not stopping the tears
His sisters Rekha and Nitya also started crying when Dhanendra was found falling in the borewell. The couple and villagers attempted to silence both sisters. However, the tears of the two sisters were not stopping.
