India’s CFR is continuously falling. Which is a positive sign in the war against the virus. The national CFR was 1.98 per cent three months ago in August. At the same time, it has now come down to 1.45 percent. The number of deaths from corona per 1 million people in India is also globally low.

The Union Health Ministry tweeted on Monday morning that, as a result of focused measures adopted to ensure low and manageable mortality, the daily mortality rate has been reduced to less than 500. At the same time, India has also increased the capacity of corona testing. At present a corona investigation of one lakh people is being conducted on a population of 10 lakh.

In the last three months, an average of one million corona tests are being done every day in India. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the institute responsible for corona testing in India, has approved 2,165 laboratories for COVID testing across the country. Of all these laboratories, 1,175 laboratories are government and 990 are private laboratories.
