Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said on Sunday that in the coming time, tea will be available in plastic free Kulhar tea at every railway station in the country. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of electrified railroad on Dhigavada – Bandikui railway line at Dhigavada railway station in Alwar, Rajasthan, Goyal said, ‘Today, around 400 railway stations in the country only get tea in Kulhar. Going forward, our plan is that tea will be sold only in Kulhar at every railway station in the country.
Goyal said that this will also be the contribution of railways in plastic-free India. This provides employment to millions of siblings. He said that there was a time when tea was available in Kulhar at railway stations. By the time Narendra Modi came to power at the center in 2014, the kulhars disappeared and tea was started to be found in plastic cups.
Railway Minister drinks tea with ax
The Railway Minister said that the people of Khadi Village Industries Department along with Railways have given impetus to this work. Goyal said, ‘I was just drinking tea in Kulhad .. In fact, the taste of drinking tea in Kulhad is something else …. and you also protect the environment.’ The minister said that since Prime Minister Modi came to power in 2014, he is concerned about the health of the people. He has decided that 100 percent of the railway lines across the country will be electrified.
Railway’s electric line increased
He said that between 2009 and 2014 there was zero electrification of the railways in Rajasthan and after 2014, 1433 km long railway line has been electrified. Goyal said, “After today’s electrification is over, the rail route going from Rewari to Ajmer is now 100 percent electrified and now the trains will run on electric lines completely. Diesel vehicles in your area are closed By doing this, we will completely reduce the pollution in your area. This will also increase the speed of the train and the industry will be able to send the produce of the farmers quickly.
Farmers Rail will benefit farmers
He said, ‘Our farmers will be able to take the mustard of the farmers to the corner of the country and the farmers will get the right price and price. The person from whom the farmers will be able to get the full price, they will be able to send their goods. Goyal said that the electrification of the rail route will reduce the cost of goods trains running from here to night. He said that Prime Minister Modi is committed to take the benefit of development to every person in every corner of the country.
Details of work
Goyal said that 65 underpasses of railways were built in Rajasthan in five years between 2009 and 2014 while 378 underpasses were made six times more between 2014 and 2020. He said that similarly, between 2009 and 2014, road overbridges were built only four in five years, while between 2014 and 2020, 30 road overbridges were built. He said that work on seven new lines is going on in Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore. On this occasion, the Railway Minister flagged off the first train on the newly electrified Dhigavada-Bandikui rail section of 34 km.
