The second setback came in a single day on Friday before the West Bengal assembly elections. MLA Mihir Goswami has resigned after the resignation of senior party leader and Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari. There are speculations that the two leaders may join the BJP.

Giving information about Mihir Goswami, BJP MP Soumitra Khan said that we thank Mihir Da for his decision to join BJP. He is expected to join our party within an hour.

MLA Mihir Goswami leaves for Delhi
TMC MLA Mihir Goswami, who had expressed his desire to leave the party, left for Delhi along with BJP MP Nishit Pramanik on Friday. According to BJP sources present in the state, Goswami can join BJP today.

Two days ago, TMC senior leader Rabindranath Ghosh visited him at his residence. Goswami said on Thursday that it is difficult for him to stay connected with the party as he will no longer bear much humiliation.
