On Wednesday, a large number of farmers, against the agricultural laws, traveled from Mohra Mandi to Delhi at one o’clock under the leadership of State Farmer Union of India, Gurnam Singh Chadhuni. During this time, thousands of farmers were riding in tractor-trolleys, bikes and cars. On the way to Shahabad, the police tried to stop the farmers by planting barricades of cement and iron on the way to Shahabad.
Gurnam Singh Chadhuni warned the police to let the farmers go but when the police did not listen, the farmers broke the police knocks in a while. The heavy barriers of cement were removed by the farmers midway. After this, the farmers went ahead with slogans.
On the way again, DSP Ramkumar, near Adesh Ashtapal in Mohri village, spoke to Pradhan Gurnam Singh Chadhuni and asked for 30 minutes to talk. The convoy was stopped by Gurnam Singh on the demand of DSP. During this time the farmers took the anchor by sitting in the middle of the main GT road.
