Corona cases have increased significantly in Delhi in the last few days. The death toll has suddenly increased for the last few days. A record 131 patients died two days earlier.

In view of this, senior Dr. Atul Kakkar of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital says that door to door survey in Delhi is going to be beneficial for the patients. This will help to know which patients are already having other diseases as well as will help in detecting elderly patients also.

According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department, the total number of infected people has increased to 5,17,238. Of these, 4,68,143 have recovered. A total of 8159 people have died so far. The death rate has increased to 1.58 percent and the infection rate to 9.05%. There are 40,936 active patients of infection in Delhi. Of these, 24,042 patients are being treated at home.

There are 9494 patients admitted to hospitals. At the same time, 584 patients are admitted in the Covid Care Center and 211 in the Health Center. A total of 62425 samples were examined on Friday. It had 23507 RT-PCR probes and 38918 antigen probes. This day’s infection rate was down to 10.59%. So far 5717716 people have been screened. More than 3 lakh people are being tested per 10 lakh population. The number of containment zones has increased to 4560.

The Chief Minister spoke to the head of religious institutions to help spread awareness about Corona
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday appealed to many religious institutions to come forward and cooperate in spreading awareness of wearing masks among people. Kejriwal tweeted and said, “I have just spoken on the phone to Baba Ji of Radha Swami Satsang Beas.” They have assured that they will do all they can to deal with the Corona situation in Delhi.
