Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visited the hospital indefinitely several times in London this week after suffering from pain due to kidney stones. This claim has been made in a media report published on Thursday. Nawaz Sharif, 70, has been living in London since 2019 due to health reasons.

Pakistan’s media institute The Dawn has said in its report that Nawaz Sharif underwent several tests and scans while going to the hospital. The newspaper quoted Dr. Adnan Khan, a physician of Sharif, as saying that he (Sharif) is very ill and is suffering from severe pain due to kidney stones.

The news said that Sharif, who had undergone heart surgery earlier, visited the hospital on Harley Street on Tuesday and Wednesday. His daughter Maryam Nawaz said in a tweet on Tuesday that my father is unable to attend the Pakistan Democratic Movement meeting due to severe pain in his kidney and I will attend the meeting in his place.

Sharif, the three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, his daughter Maryam and son-in-law Muhammad Safdar were convicted on 6 July 2018 in the Avefield property case. Sharif was sentenced to seven years in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills case in December 2018. Both are cases related to corruption. However, Sharif got bail in both the cases and was also allowed to go to London for treatment.
