Bihar’s new cabinet of 15 members has 13 ministers as millionaires and these leaders have assets of Rs 3.93 crore on average. This information has been given by Bihar Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). Of the 14 ministers whose affidavits have been analyzed, 13 are millionaires. Of these, maximum 6 are BJP, 5 of JDU and one each of Hindustani Awam Morcha and Vikas Insan Party. Two women are also among these 14 ministers.
Average wealth of 14 ministers is Rs 3.93 crore: ADR
According to the Association for Democratic Reforms, these findings are based on an analysis of affidavits submitted by them before the October-November assembly elections. The report said, “The average assets of the 14 ministers analyzed is Rs. 3.93 crore.” Among the ministers with the highest assets, Mevalal Chaudhary, elected from Tarapur constituency, is at the top, having assets worth Rs 12.31 crore. The minister with the lowest declared assets is Ashok Chaudhary, who has declared assets worth Rs 72.89 lakh.

Mukesh Sahni’s maximum debt
A total of 8 ministers have also stated their liabilities, of which Mukesh Sahni of Simri Bakhtiyarpur constituency has the highest liability. These ministers have a debt of Rs 1.54 crore. 4 ministers have indicated their educational qualification between 8th and 12th grade, while 10 ministers have indicated their educational qualification of graduation or above. Similarly, 6 ministers have told their age between 41 to 50 and 8 ministers have told between 51 and 75 years.

Criminal cases against eight ministers
Eight of the 14 ministers of the newly formed cabinet in Bihar have reported criminal cases against them. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has given this information. According to the election rights organization, six ministers (about 43 per cent) have reported serious cases against them.

How many seats in Bihar election
Of the 243 seats in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the NDA won a majority by winning 125 seats and formed the government. The grand alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav got 110 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal has got 70 seats, Congress 19 and Left parties (CPI-MLL, CPI-M and CPI) 18 seats included in the grand alliance.
